3rd Annual Utah Health Information Technology Conference
The Utah Department of Health and UHIN are collaborating to host the Third Annual Utah Health Information Technology Conference on Tuesday, May 17 at the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus, 9750 S 300 W, Sandy. The conference will run from 8:00 am until 12:15 pm, and will feature education sessions for a wide variety of interests. Sessions include:
· An in-depth privacy and security panel with speakers representing the legal/ethical, provider, and patient advocate perspectives
· Three breakout sessions discussing how technology enables:
o Better outcomes for diabetic patients in communities of color
o Patient engagement in end-of-life care planning and adherence to patient wishes through the ePOLST
o Better integration of behavioral and physical healthcare
· A closing address from Dr. Joseph Miner, Executive Director of the Utah Department of Health
