Please join us on Thursday, January 25th for Health IT Day at the Capitol, a day of celebration, learning, and connecting with the legislature.

TAG Health and Georgia HIMSS have teamed up to co-sponsor Health IT Day at the Capitol 2018. You are invited for a reading of the Health IT Day Resolution in the Georgia Senate at 10 a.m. and then join us for lunch and a panel discussion by providers, payers, industry leaders and legislators.

The panel discussion will focus on cybersecurity, cyber-attacks and the impact on healthcare organizations. We will address support needs within Georgia and also identify resources currently available.
Your presence is important – the health IT industry is a leading driver of Georgia's high tech economy and we want to make sure that the voices of the health IT community are heard.

Norwood Davis, CFO 12Stone Church and Board Member for Gwinnett Health System

C. Norwood Davis serves as Chief Financial Officer at 12Stone® Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Named the 2010 Fastest Growing Church in the U.S. and the 16th Largest Church in 2015 by Outreach Magazine, 12Stone® Church (with nine locations) serves more than 18,000 adults and children weekly with its unique worship and teaching styles. In addition, 12Stone partners with local and global non-profit agencies to offer hope and help among the poor, sick, homeless, addicted, immigrants and prisoners.

As Chief Financial Officer, Norwood leads the finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, facilities and legal initiatives for 12Stone® Church.

Norwood has significant executive and board experience with non-profit and philanthropic . Currently, he serves as board chair for Street Grace, an Atlanta based organization combating the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Norwood also serves as a Trustee of the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation. He also serves as Treasurer and as a Board member of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Board of Directors of Gwinnett Medical Center, a two hospital authority system, and serves as Chair of its Audit & Compliance Committee. He also serves on the Board of The John Maxwell Company, a privately held leadership development company.

Geoff Brown, CIO Piedmont

Geoff Brown is VP & CIO at Piedmont Healthcare. He has over 35 consecutive years of progressive experience in Information Technology (IT), management, consulting and strategic planning. Brown is in the unique position of having work experience as CIO in public, for profit and not-for-profit healthcare organizations. He is well known for delivering real results through improved utilization of technology and people.

Edward McKinney, Floyd CISO

Edward McKinney is an IT executive with more than 30 years of experience across the federal and private sectors with a focus on information systems, network and engineering operations and cybersecurity programs. He is the Information Security Officer for Floyd Medical Center, defining strategy, roadmaps, solution incubation and security mitigations. Prior to entering the healthcare sector, Mr. McKinney was at the National Security Agency (NSA), working to ensure cybersecurity strategic objectives were addressed in major system acquisitions and in the operational environments of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
