CMS is leading the way with the new proposed rules in the evolving story of making the beneficiary/Veteran/consumer the primary decision maker in the use and access of their data.  This applies to the roadmap of interoperability and generally opening access to health records. Agencies who lead healthcare are constantly evaluating their plans for open access to healthcare records, interoperability, quality measurements, payment model and related methodologies. This panel will explore how are agencies are monitoring and learning from each other to define governance and increasing inoperability with quality focused patient data and records.

  • How is HHS, VA and DHA defining and responding to open data access plans?
  • What are the challenges in alignment between the agencies and their planning?
  • How can the Governance challenges be addressed?
  • Patient matching is the core for much of these efforts –  how can a set the national standard be defined and how have those challenges evolved?
  • What policy changes are you facing and how are you addressing them in the short and long term?
  • What obstacles are you facing as a single agency application that you looking to sister agencies to help solve?
