In this day, everyone has to take a leadership role and accept resonsibility for the status quo.  We can't stand by and think it is someone else's duty to change the things we don't like.  This is about life as much as it is about work.

We will spend time looking at several current theories of how to change or get change done.  Participants will have an opportunity to assess his/her approach to change and how willing they are to move through a change(s) currently happening.

There is no magic to processing change, we can't stop it from happening, but on can apply some tools and have some insights into how to move through the change without losing our best selves.

About the Speaker:

Margie has worked in the Louisville healthcare arena since 1976. She spent 28 of those at Norton Healthcare in a variety of positions. She was there for the beginning of the Louisville healthcare quality revolution. Norton brought the Florida, Power and Light's 7-step story model for instituting Quality and Facilitation throughout the organization. This began the era of customer and patient focus service which Margie had embraced ever since.

Margie spent 15 years with the training and development department of Norton where they taught a full array of Leadership and staff development skills in addition to the Quality processes. The last eight years with Norton Margie was privileged to be the Employee Ombudsman to the 9400 employees of the facilities. In 2004 Margie accepted a position with Baptist Hospital East as the coordinator of organizational development and continues to do public speaking throughout the Louisville area.

In 2015 Margie was ready for her biggest challenge when she started Dimond Professional Development and Consulting Services.

On the lighter side, Margie sings with Bluegrass Harmony which is a chapter of Harmony Incorporated. She will be competing at the November International Convention in Nova Scotia as both a chorus member and her quartet (Kentucky Blend). Margie is also making her debut in September as a cast member in the Young Hearts Theatre. This is a group of 55+ who love to perform. The Young Hearts Theatre puts on two free shows per year.
