T-Mobile/Metro PCS. Recently T-Mobile/Metro PCs began charging customers for calls made to StartMeeting.com (or any type of conference line tool). Startmeeting has a work around - since we do not know how long this issue will continue.

We are asking that our users first dial a Back-Up Number - 716-293-9620 -  and follow the prompts of entering in the original Dial-In Number and original Access Code.

Sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience in this matter.

Topic:  Resources Available to Support MACRA and the Quality Payment Program

Many of our Georgia Chapter of HIMSS members will be impacted by the MACRA legislation which is implemented through the Quality Payment Program (QPP.  Those whose work is not directly related to preparing for MACRA understand that this is an industry changing effort and that we need to stay abreast of how CMS intends for the QPP to be implemented and the role that technology will play.  From data collection for Quality Measures to utilization of EHR technology in support Advancing Care Information (ACI) through portal utilization, interoperability and care management, clinical providers will depend on HIT expertise and assistance.  Utilization of technology can result in higher scores in the Improve Activities component, as well in the Quality and ACI components, thus making knowledgeable HIT support even more critical.  Vendors and Consultants can bring greater value to their provider clients through education, understanding and application

To support your efforts, we will focus the June Community of Practice on the QPP resources available at the State and National Level.  We will discuss the services provided through the recently awarded State contracts to assist Small, Underserved and Rural providers (SURS), as well as larger practices.  Our session will include a review of the QPP website with a demonstration of the resources available and how to utilize these tools.

We welcome Phoebe Nelms, Program Manager with the Georgia Health Information Technology Extension Center (GA-HITEC), as a participant on this month’s webcast.  GA-HITEC is a member of the QPP support team for Georgia, under the CMS-funded SURS program.  Join us as we explore the resources available to all members of our Healthcare Community.
