ICD-10 Testing Deadline Extended

Providers have an extra bit of time to apply for ICD-10 end-to-end testing. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has pushed out the deadline to Jan. 21.

Participating organizations must submit future-dated claims and give National Provider Identifiers, Provider Transaction Access Numbers and beneficiary Health Insurance Claim Numbers that will be used for test claims, according to CMS.

Volunteer forms are available on Medicare Administrative Contractor sites, according to Carl Natale at ICD-10 Watch. CMS will pick participants by Feb. 13.
