Join Nebraska HIMSS at HIMSS15

Chicago welcomes the 2015 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition, April 12-16, 2015, at McCormick Place. More than 38,000 healthcare industry professionals are expected to attend to discuss health IT issues and view innovative solutions designed to transform healthcare.

Nebraska HIMSS is proud to be part of this annual event that helps health IT professionals find the right solutions for their organizations.

Conference education sessions include preconference symposia on clinical and business analytics, HIEs, innovation, mobile health, nursing informatics, physicians’ IT and more. More than 300 peer-reviewed sessions, including workshops and roundtables, round out education offerings at HIMSS15.

George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States, leads a strong roster of speakers that also includes Gregory D. Wasson, President and CEO, Walgreens; Bruce  D. Broussard, President and CEO, Humana; and Jeremy Gutsche, Founder of Trendhunter.com and Author of “Exploiting Chaos.”

The HIMSS15 Exhibit Hall will feature the Connected Patient Gallery, Federal Health IT Solutions Pavilion, HIMSS First-Time Exhibitors Area, HIMSS Health IT Value Suite, HIMSS Interoperability Showcase™, Intelligent Health™ Pavilion (formerly known as Intelligent Hospital Pavilion), and three Knowledge Centers focused on clinical and business intelligence, disaster preparedness and mobile health.

HIMSS Awards & Recognition Gala

The HIMSS Awards & Recognition Gala is a time for celebration and for recognizing members who have added their unique sparkle and verve to the industry.  Lifetime achievement, scholarship programs, activities or publications - HIMSS honors individuals, groups, and organizations for significant contributions to the Society, their organizations or to the health IT profession.  Come toast their accomplishments at this year's elegant event!

We are excited to announce that the Nebraska Chapter will receive the Small Chapter of the Year award.  Kevin Conway was nominated and will be honored as the Chapter Leader of the Year.  Congratulations to Kevin on a wonderful accomplishment.  He has been instrumental with our Nebraska chapter and provides significant leadership to the health IT industry.  Thanks Kevin!

A ticket is required for the Gala event scheduled to take place April 14, 2015 from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm at The Chicago Hilton Grand Ballroom.

HIMSS Upper Great Plains Luncheon

Luncheon “meet and greet” reception at HIMSS15 in Chicago. The meeting will be Wednesday, April 15, 2015 11:30 AM-1:00 PM at the Hyatt Regency McCormick.  You will be able to step out of the exhibit showroom and sit down for a networking lunch. The meeting is being hosted by Montana HIMSS, Nebraska HIMSS, North Dakota HIMSS and South Dakota HIMSS Chapters.  Registration is available for this event.

HIMSS Block Party

The Block Party is Wednesday, April 15th from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm in Chicago McCormick Convention Center - Vista Room.  Multiple chapters and special interest groups will have tables for attendees to visit (no charge to attend Block Party.)
