Why You Can't Afford to Miss the HIMSS NW Chapters Technology Conference in Nov 3-4th, 2014

I must admit that if there is one conference in the region that can offer the latest trends in healthcare IT, diverse educational presentations and a chance to interact with leading vendors, it has to be the HIMSS NW Chapters Technology Conference - November 3-4th in Bellevue, WA.  More than 20 hours of CE are available at this event.

I anticipate a wide array of outstanding presentations with topics ranging from quality outcomes to analytics from population health management to revenue cycle management that will appeal to the choosiest participants.  Three keynote speakers, representing some of the foremost leaders in the field of healthcare IT and analytics, will headline the keynote sessions.

As excitement for this conference builds at the national level, I want to recognize the big effort put by the WA HIMSS Chapter Board members who have been working diligently to make this conference the best ever!  I hope you can take some time from your busy schedules to join your colleagues and cohorts by attending this conference.   See you at the conference.

Healthcare IT Advocacy – A view from the “Hill”, by Chad Hiner RN, MS

Having just returned from an event filled week in Washington, DC for the 13th Annual Healthcare IT Policy Summit, I am excited to report that the country is well positioned to continue all of the great work many have done to improve our healthcare system.  This is especially true for the great state of Washington, where I can report that we have full support for the legislation being proposed to further support Healthcare IT at the National level.
