A Note from our Editor

Our HIMSS Southern California Board, Chapter Leadership and Awesome (Translation: Engaged, Rocking, and Fun) Volunteer Team, extend a warm and sunny SoCal greeting to our members, your friends and families - and hope you are having an incredible Summer of 2015! In our Summer Newsletter, we will highlight some of the incredible events and both Chapter and personal Member accomplishments throughout the 2014 -2015 Year!

Our Volunteer Team is already planning and preparing for another phenomenal year!  Our HIMSS 2015-2016 year will be action-packed again – kicking off with our premier event – Our Annual CIO Forum on December 1st and quickly followed by our leading-edge Annual Healthcare IT Conference. Both will introduce national and regional speakers highlighting important new and relevant information for your business. We will continue to bring forward new and interactive experiences through our Privacy and Security and Clinical Informatics Forums. And for the first time, we will be co-hosting with HIMSS National our first Patient Engagement Summit, planned for October 12th and 13th in San Diego!

Our Chapter and our Members were on the busy side over the past 12 months – and with many thanks to your involvement. We led and participated in many exciting and also new events – not to mention being honored as HIMSS National Chapter of the Year – Large Chapter (Our 5^th time)! 

Our team would like to share with you just a few of the many great times we had together.  We’ll build on these successes to make this coming year even more fantastic!
