Announcing the 2019-2020 New England HIMSS Elected Officials

 

Dear New England Chapter of HIMSS (NEHIMSS) chapter member,

On behalf of Jeffrey Loughlin, President-Elect, and the chapter board of directors, I am pleased to announce the elected officers for the 2019-20 chapter year.

Amy Chacko
Currently serves as Chair of the Marketing and Communications
Committee

Amy Chacko brings almost fifteen years of EHR experience. She has a proven track record of engaging nurses, physicians and both clinicians and financial users in the use of medical software in various EHR systems, as a Senior Business Systems Analyst, Senior Clinical Systems Analyst, a Senior Consultant, Application Coordinator and Team Lead. She maintains a broad understanding of the daily work of nurses and physicians, concerns of the allied disciplines, quality/patient safety/evidence-based practice initiatives, and the regulatory environment. She stands out amongst her peers for her background in clinical systems knowledge as well as financial systems knowledge. Bringing this rare background to the table keeps her in demand because she can speak to all sides of a hospital system with a thorough understanding of cause-and-effect.

Her involvement with HIMSS and NEHIMSS spans over ten years, serving in various capacities. She has served as a committee member of HIMSS International Professional Certification Committee (2016-2018), a committee member of HIMSS International Professional Development Committee since 2018, a mentor for up and coming healthcare professionals for New England HIMSS since 2016, a member of the Marketing and Communications committee for New England HIMSS since 2017 and has been the Chair for the committee since 2018.

She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Professional in Health Information Systems (CPHIMS) and a Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) holder. She also holds a Master's Degree in Health and Medical Informatics from Brandeis University.

Monique Czulewicz
Currently serves as chapter Treasurer

Monique Czulewicz is a Revenue Cycle Analyst who enjoys working hands-on with hospital billing systems and workflows. As an active board member of New England HIMSS, Monique is proud to be a part of a community that believes in putting patients and their families first. Monique originally began her career in 2008 with the Merrill Lynch Operations Leadership Program in New York and pivoted to the healthcare industry in 2011. She currently holds the role of Epic Professional Billing Analyst/Principal Trainer at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA and has previously worked at Partners Healthcare and Boston Medical Center. Monique is enrolled at Northeastern University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) and is now pursuing her Master's degree in Health Informatics.

Renee Broadbent

Renee serves as Senior Manager, VCISO Services for Wolf; developing, implementing and providing VCISO services for clients. She is a senior level healthcare executive with an extensive background in information security, strategic planning, information technology, HIPAA, data interoperability and value-based care. She has held the role of Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Information Officer in both hospital health systems as well as Managed Care Organizations (MCO). Most recently, Renee served as AVP of Population Health Information Technology and Strategy at UMassMemorial Health Care in Worcester, Massachusetts and was part of the leadership team that achieved $22 million in savings for the Accountable Care Organization and was a member of the Cyber Security Executive Committee, which provided oversite to the health system on the execution of the data security strategy.

In addition, she presented at 2018 at national HIMSS in Las Vegas, Creating a Population Health Strategy that Scales a sold-out presentation and one of the highest rated presentations of the event.
