Florida HIE Expands to Include Hospital Subscribers

TALLAHASSEE, FL - AHCA announced  today through  a press release that the Encounter Notification Service (ENS) operated by the Florida Health Information Exchange Services (Florida HIE) has delivered over 7.5 million notifications to facilitate patient care coordination since its inception in 2013.  Currently, at least 215 hospitals across Florida have generated notifications which are being sent to subscribers including health plans, ACOs, provider practices and now hospitals.  This exchange of health information will reduce errors and readmissions across the state by providing timely communication.
