HIMSS MI Chapter - November 2021 Newsletter

Happy Thanksgiving from Michigan HIMSS

On behalf of the Michigan HIMSS Chapter, we hope your Thanksgiving holiday was happy, healthy, and full of great food.

We are thankful to each and every one of our members throughout the year and the amazing contributions all of you make every day toward advancing healthcare in our state and across the nation.

MiHCC recently announced the publication of the Managing Healthcare Risk in a Networked World Study. This study, conducted by the Ponemon Institute and sponsored by MiHCC, aims to to better understand and reduce cybersecurity risks for healthcare provider organizations in an ecosystem that increasingly relies on technology and electronic data sharing.

In July, faculty from the Health Infrastructure and Learning Systems (HILS) program joined us to explore the concept of a Health Learning System and how it has the potential to change the future of healthcare. Watch the video here!
