The HIMSS Nursing Informatics Workforce Survey is now live through October 31. This survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and is open to all nurses around the world. HIMSS invites all nursing informatics professional to contribute to this effort, so please feel free to share this survey with colleagues and teams in addition to completing it yourself! By completing the survey, you will automatically be enrolled into a drawing for a $100 amazon gift card! 

Since 2004, HIMSS has surveyed the nursing informatics community to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the informatics nurse professional. The results of the HIMSS 2020 Nursing Informatics Workforce survey found that nurse informaticists are the driving force behind the development, implementation, and optimization of electronic medical/health records, nursing clinical documentation, point-of-care clinical decision support and computerized practitioner order entry. By completing the Nursing Informatics Workforce Survey, it will help ascertain nursing informaticists’ role in digital healthcare.
