| HIMSS Nursing Informatics Workforce Survey The HIMSS Nursing Informatics Survey is now open through October 31st! This survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and is open to all nurses around the world. HIMSS invites all nursing informatics professionals to contribute to this effort. Since 2004, HIMSS has surveyed the nursing informatics community to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the informatics nurse professional. By completing the Nursing Informatics Workforce Survey, it will help ascertain nursing informaticists’ role in digital healthcare.

| Online Journal of Nursing Informatics: Volume 26 Fall 2022 The Fall 2022 Edition of OJNI has just been published! This edition highlights topics on cybersecurity, nursing informatics competencies, and speech recognition technology. The Online Journal of Nursing Informatics is a free, international, peer-reviewed publication that is published three times a year and supports all functional areas of nursing informatics. Manuscripts must represent original, unpublished material and represent a functional area of nursing informatics practice.

The HIMSS Nursing Informatics Community was founded in 2003 in response to the increased recognition of the role of the informatics nurse professional in healthcare information and management systems. This effort was intended to build a community within the HIMSS membership for those individuals with a role in nursing informatics. Its purpose is to articulate a cohesive voice for the HIMSS Nursing Informatics community and to provide domain expertise, leadership, and guidance to HIMSS activities, initiatives, and collaborations with the global nursing informatics community.
