I am thrilled to share that after a brief hiatus, we are working to re-activate the Arkansas HIMSS Chapter. Thanks to your input, we have seated our Board and key Committee Members:

There is an opening for the Communication/Web Chair. If any of you are interested, please let me know.

We conducted our 1^st Board meeting August 4 to discuss strategies and plans to kickstart the Chapter. In a few weeks we will meet again in a working session to build out the plan in more detail and submit to HIMSS so they are aware of our objectives. We have an awesome support team at HIMSS - Angie Claypool and LaVerne Palmer – that are very engaged and committed to helping us be successful.

Our Board would very much appreciate your input on how our Chapter can bring the most value to you and our Arkansas communities. Please complete the survey below by August 25 so that we can include your thoughts in our planning process.

On behalf of our Board and HIMSS, we extend our gratitude and appreciation for what each of you are doing to care for the people of Arkansas during the COVID pandemic. While it has certainly been tough, I believe you may have found several bright spots in your delivery of healthcare IT to our providers and other care givers. We are looking forward to collaborating with you to share those accomplishments across our Chapter in the months ahead.
