You be the judge…STEM Future City Competition

Hello -

STEM Forward organizes the Wisconsin Regional Future City Competition for middle school students to create a city of tomorrow. The next Future City competition is on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at MSOE's Kern Center.

We are reaching out today to assess your interest in joining several of your HIMSS Wisconsin colleagues as part of a team judging exercise at this year’s Future City projects. While we are still unsure of the exact amount of volunteers needed, please express your interest now so we can follow up with you near the end of the year.

Volunteering Details:

Serve as a mentor and judge as middle school students present and discuss their virtual city of tomorrow at the regional competition. Students must design a power grid for their city that can withstand and quickly recover from a natural disaster. It'll be your job to engage with them during their presentation and ask questions specifically related to a Wisconsin HIMSS-sponsored award that involves health and care delivery in their city.

This year, Kim R. Pemble will again be gathering our judging team at MSOE beginning at 7:30am, and judging will begin at 8:00am. Our work should be concluded by 11:30am. More details to come later this month.

Hope you can join us!
